La beca W. Eugene Smith en Fotografía Humanística – W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography- es otorgada anualmente a un fotógrafo cuyo trabajo previo, así como una nueva propuesta a desarrollar, siga la tradición de Eugene Smith, que durante 45 años de carrera mostró un trabajo de ensayo fotográfico comprometido y dedicado.

Establecida en 1978, tras la muerte de Smith, la beca es uno de los galardones más prestigiosos dentro de la fotografía documental, que en este año otorga un premio de $30 mil dólares al ganador. Adicionalmente, $5 000 dólares serán repartidos entre uno o más finalistas que el jurado considere merecedor por la calidad de su propuesta.
La fecha límite para mandar tu obra es el 31 de mayo.
Los premios se darán a conocer en una ceremonia en Nueva York durante el mes de octubre.
